A shelter away from the world? Truly. Decorate just to please you? Of course. Comfortable? Nature. But what else does it take to have a perfect bedroom? Take inspiration from these bedroom designs and introduce extras that will help transform your space from sophisticated to sublime.
If you’re planning to repaint or redecorate your sleeping space in the near future, this is an idea worth considering.
Wired lighting – in the form of a chandelier, as shown, or a wall lamp – will free up your bedside table. The extra space usually feels more luxurious. (Instead of balancing reading materials, phones, and drinking glasses around a lampholder, you can artfully design your table for maximum serenity.) )
Another benefit is that the controls on the wall are always at your fingertips. (For some of us) there is no longer a need to look for switches on dangling wires that are out of reach at the bedside.
Ask an electrician for a quote and ask how much damage the installation will cause. This depends in part on the direction of the current in your room. In the best-case scenario, if you have an existing outlet or switch underneath the proposed location, you can simply do some sanding, filling, and repainting on the narrow wall where the new cable is plugged into.
One final tip: make sure the pendant is the right height; When you open a bedtime book, you don’t want to feel like you’re under an interrogation light. Wired wall lights may be more suitable for you, especially if they have flexible features like a rocker arm that will be easier to adjust.
Although breakfast in bed may be rare, a tray with legs is a boon on those special days to avoid the need to balance the flat version on the lap or, worse, the need to juggle plates and cups. Choose a tray with folding legs, which will not become the overlord of storage space when not in use.
Of course, these devices are also very convenient for laptops and tablets, but experts say that for a better night’s sleep, these devices should be kept away from our bedrooms, so leave the tray for croissants, juice and coffee.
One (or more) is a multitasking marvel for any bedroom and doesn’t take up much floor space. When putting on jeans, you can use a padded cube as a seat, combine it with a dresser, you can tuck it aside, or swap it out for a simple headboard surface.
The leather seen here is rough, but available in a variety of patterns and colors.
The book corner in your bedroom is where you put the books you’re about to read, your favorites that you’ll return to often, or (quietly) books you’re not willing to borrow.
If you choose a bedside shelving like this, even a small bedroom can accommodate one without affecting the floor area. (Above the door is another great use of dead space.) )
Alternatively, the built-in shelving along the side of the room can be used in a larger space, while the monitor opposite the end of the bed allows you to see the delightful view while you sleep.
Extra pillows and blankets are the layers that decorate the bed during the day, but discarding them sideways while sleeping is not a good or relaxing look.
A storage footstool or blanket box isn’t a novelty idea, but an item that specializes in styling it can be a novelty idea. The foot of the bed can be a convenient location, or take advantage of the space under the window instead.
